FACILITIES & INFRASTRUCTURE

Monti Clinical Research Centre is located inside Cecelia Makiwane Tertiary Hospital Building in Mdantsane. Mdantsane is the second biggest township in South Africa. The site consists of Unisex Restrooms, access-controlled Reception Area, dedicated Kitchen Area that daily prepares healthy and fresh snacks for the participants, access-controlled Data Room furnished with lock and key, fire, and waterproof cupboards.

The site also has a dedicated restricted access-controlled continuous monitored temperature Laboratory, Pharmacy and Pharmacy Back Up rooms, private individual ICF Signing Room as well as a well-ventilated Waiting Area with entertainment. There is a dedicated access controlled Vital Signs room fitted with an emergency trolley and other calibrated vital signs equipment. There are two private access controlled Clinical Rooms and two Investigator Rooms. The centre also has a Boardroom that caters for meetings and a Training Room with a projector for site staff trainings and an office for Monitoring Visits.

We are well resourced and have the latest equipment with calibration certificates as follows:

ECG machine/emergency trolley including drip stand, oxygen cylinder amongst others, Blood pressure monitoring devices, Height measurement and Weight measurement scale, Pulse oximeters, Thermometer, Lung function test machine, Centrifuge ambient, Refrigerators, and freezers: 2-8 Cْ fridge and - ْ 20 C to -40Cْ freezer.
The site has a password-controlled 20mbps LTE Uncapped (FUP) Wi-Fi internet access for all staff members, study participants and site visitors.
